Problem:
The overall goal of The Air National Guard’s Traffic Safety Program's is to prevent or reduce frequency and severity of vehicular mishaps involving Air Force and Air Guard personnel, equipment, and operations. While the information exists to make real changes in Traffic Safety, ANG needed non-traditional venues and methods for getting the mandatory safety messages across.
Solution:
TrafficANG was designed to help eliminate potential safety hazards through online tools that generate awareness and provide information, communication, training and reporting in a way that gets used. By presenting the story of a base, complete with compelling video and interactive content, Macrosystems was able to create a compelling framework for Traffic Safety that informs instead of preaching. By introducing real time traffic and accident data, along with map and weather features, TrafficANG becomes a destination for real time information.
